Mill Description
The mill is located west of the village. Its surviving buildings include the aqueduct and the watertower as well as ruins of the room that housed the grinding mechanisms. The stonebuilt aqueduct is preserved at a length of about 30m. It is made of a stone wall at the top of which a channel is formed. The base of the aqueduct is formed by a solid/masonry wall while at the junction with the watertower there is a pointed arched passage, 2.80m wide, which allows the movement between the two sides of the mill. The watertower is massive and has dimensions of 2.00 x 2.80m. Its maximum visible height is 5.80m. Its two sides are vertical and the third (front) is inclined and has one step. The watertower is built with local stonework and is plastered. Its cornerstones are made of dressed stones. The room that housed the grinding mechanism is in ruins. Its walls are preserved at a height of 1-2m. Within its ruins is the running stone, which has a diameter of 1.50m and has been imported from the island of Milos. The room of the waterwheel is not accessible. D. Myrianthefs
